A downloadable asset pack

My game, Lost in Your Dreams, is about a girl named Willow who often works late shifts at her hospital. She has many fears, making her an easy victim to a local ghost named Curse. He curses vulnerable humans late at night, causing them to appear in his mansion when they try to sleep. The security consists of Curse’s past victims that don’t want you to escape so that you would then become one of them. Willow’s goal is to survive all the rooms of the mansion, which each represent a fear of hers. When Willow reaches a new room, she will have to solve a puzzle made by Curse in order to enter the room. You have to beat the rooms chronologically, and there are also misleading hallways. Willow starts with 3 hearts but has opportunities throughout the game to earn more as well as collect items to aid her in her journey. If she is hurt or solves a puzzle wrong, she will lose a heart. Even though losing all her hearts would technically result in the player being stuck in the mansion forever, they actually just lose their progress on the room they’re up to so that they don’t have to start the game all over again. I think that this game is special because depending on how you approach playing it, you will have a different experience. If the player enjoys puzzle solving, they can obtain more items to help them within the rooms. However, if a player would rather try to beat the rooms without any unnecessary help, they don’t have to participate in the search for these items or even use them if they happen to stumble upon them.

This would be an action-adventure game for the Switch. The player moves with the joystick, jumps with B, attacks with Y, uses an item with A, and accesses their inventory with X. They can also quit with the minus button and access the blueprints of the mansion with the plus button. The target audience would be ages 13-20 and those who enjoy puzzle solving and action-adventure games. One game reference would be for Luigi’s Mansion, allowing the player to have an opportunity to obtain The Poltergust 3000 to assist them in the ghost room (which is the first room Willow must beat).
